After 9 heats, 3 semi finals, 2 wild cards and endless talent, it's all coming to a close on Thursday September 4th. These four amazing bands have impressed our judges with their creativity, showmanship and songwriting. But only one band can come out on top; first prize is a cheque for €1000.
BABYRAT are the abrasive power-pop outfit from Cork. Sonically landing somewhere between The Strokes and Olivia Rodrigo, BABYRAT's sing-along melodies are intertwined with unapologetic lyrics that are thrust forward by the electrifying future-nostalgia sound that the band have created.
SMALL TOWN POLITICS are a dirty rock band formed in West Cork. Imagine Queens of the Stones Age and the Black Keys having sex with Thundercat watching. The trio generate monstrous guitar rock energy with soul running through the middle.
FOLLOWING THE SIGNS are a 5 piece metal band from Cork City. Their style is new age metalcore with a mix of deathcore elements. Get ready for heavy riffs, groovy
