Blackwater Valley Makers are excited to host a new exhibition for the months of January and
February, 2026. Curated by their own member, artist Lotte Bender, the work can be seen in the
downstairs gallery Tuesdays to Saturdays, 10am till 6pm at 12 McCurtain Street, Fermoy.
Admission is free.
“Tables of Life” is a socially engaged art project centred on community, shared experience, and
everyday life. No matter who we are or how di?erent our lives may be, we all have a table of some
kind around which life happens. At these tables we eat, talk, work, argue, celebrate, sit quietly
and dream up ideas. Each table carries marks of use and memory, holding the stories of the
people who gather there. By focusing on something so ordinary and familiar, the project points to
a simple truth, despite our di?erences, we are connected through this shared part of daily life.
This exhibition is a starting point for conversation, reflection, and participation. “Tables of Life”
continues beyond the gallery and grows through the involvement of others. Everyone is invited to
