STRUNKY are a group of musicians from Cork who have played across different styles and within various groups for many years. Strunky was formed by John, John and Dave around 2006, although Claire had sung previously with all of them. The current line-up consists of John "Mosh" Murphy on bass/drums/percussion/vocals, John "Basset" Burke on bass/guitar/vocals, David "Dave" O'Leary on guitar/harmonica/vocals and the wonderful Claire "Diva" Cunningham on vocals. She has also, in her time, been known to play a mean egg.
Strunky play a wide range of styles, mostly classics from the 60s to the 90s. Over the years they have played in numerous venues around Cork City and County. Strunky have also been known to make their way across to border to the Kingdom from time to time ('hi' to all in "The Anchor" in Cahersiveen). With classics ranging from ABBA to Lionel Richie, Neil Young to Bonnie Tyler, Jackson 5 to Meghan Trainor, (yes, we have been known to play the occasional song from this millennium), Strunky are guaranteed to provide a good
