Ireland’s premier Latin ensemble, Son Solar brings the vibrant sounds of Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Venezuela, and beyond right to the heart of Cork. Their 10-piece band fuses classic Latin rhythms with modern flair, blending salsa, son, bolero, and Afro-Cuban grooves for a performance that is equal parts musical mastery and pure joy.
Formed in 2019, Son Solar has become a festival favourite, known for engaging audiences with infectious energy, hypnotic percussion, soaring horns, and dazzling vocals. From intimate café-style performances to full-on dancefloor spectacles, their music transports listeners straight to the streets of Havana, with every note celebrating the spirit of Latin American culture.
