Formed in Cork, Ireland in 2024, Smithereens are a five piece Jazz/Rock band who have been making their mark on the Irish music scene and abroad. Their debut EP Emergency Entrance (2024) immediately made an impact on fans in Ireland, and they have since performed sold out shows nationwide, including Live at St. Luke’s (2025) ,The Kino (2024,2025), and Next door records (2026) in London. They have begun to make their first festival appearances, and have played in festivals such as Féile Solas, Forbidden Fruit, Guinness Cork Jazz Festival and Clonakilty International Guitar Festival.
Fans enjoy their fusion of sophisticated jazz harmony with the angular, distorted guitar lines and raucous vocals of grunge. Their Sophomore EP, 'Shapeshift', releases on August 23rd, 2026, and they've planned a 12-date Irish tour to celebrate the release, followed by trips to the UK and Germany in November and December.
