Sideproject return for their first Cork show in almost a decade. Country relocations, new family additions and a pandemic contributed to a longer than expected hiatus from the Cork music scene but the post-rock 5 piece is finally back together and has new material.
To date the band has released three EPs: 'Take Shelter From The Stars' ‘Not Waving But Drowning’ and 'They Made You Miss Everything' and played numerous festivals with acts such as Frightened Rabbit, Walking on Cars and True Tides.
The band remains inspired by great local acts including Rest, Tenpastseven and Hope Is Noise. While gigs have been fewer and further between in recent years, the band is excited to be finally back playing live and could think of no finer venue than Coughlans for the occasion.

shows up for ‘Outpatients’ and takes us through a fine song above a sinuous shifting ryhthm and guitars that build up to a regular stormfest. ‘And Each Flame Concealed A Sinner’ is another instrumental also dominated by guitars, but is a heavier, more accented outing, with hints of prog rock in the arrangement, but without that genre’s often pointless pomposity. The Guilteens are a new Cork-based 4-piece band fusing elements of blues, jazz, psychedelia and dark pop.
The band comprises Cathal Nally (Trumpet / Guitar), Shane Murphy (Drums), Finn Sedas (Guitar, Piano, Vocals) and Tomás O' Brien (Bass).
