Something special started happening in the Cork comedy scene in 2023. Dozens of talented comedians have sprung up out of the open mics. Established performers from around the country and abroad have started visiting Cork far more frequently to perform. Some have even relocated here. There are so many new clubs opening, with shows happening almost everyday, often multiple gigs a night. The quality of comedy throughout the county is rising rapidly.
