We welcome back Kevin Murphy , ounder of the experimental Irish folk project Rattling Ark, a group that blends Irish traditional music with atmospheric folk, drone, and contemporary influences. Murphy is also well known for his work with Slow Moving Clouds. 

The band features: Kevin Murphy – cello and vocals + Thomas Haugh – zithers, percussion and electronics + Lizzi Murtough – cello, vocals, shruti box and keyboards

Artist Bio 

Rattling Ark released their debut album entitled 'Top of a Mountain on the 19 th of June 2026.

The Irish alternative trad/folk outfit was established by acclaimed cello player Kevin Murphy

who has long been associated with experimental folk music in Ireland and internationally. A

founding member of Slow Moving Clouds Kevin has collaborated with celebrated folk

legends such as Iarla O Lionáird, John Spillane, Cathy Jordan, Úna Monaghan and Ger Wolfe

while he has also worked with international artists such as The National, Bon Iver, Jenny

Lewis, Lisa Hannigan, Rick Danko and Dave Gahan
