Cork has a new art gallery !
Located in Cork’s English Market, a new venture has come about as a result of discussions between Paul Mulvany owner of the “Rave Cave” t-shirt shop and Dermot Browne artist and curator (“curator” with a small c).
Paul, who also runs a second unit in the English Market which traditionally had offered craft items and tourist souvenirs, had become vacant and Paul approached Dermot to open a Fine Art gallery there.
Paul’s long running t-shirt shop and his long and ongoing interest and connection to the music biz, suggested to Browne to name the new space “Paul’s Boutique” after the Beastie Boys classic album.
The inaugural and current show in the space shows works from Cork based artists:
Paul Mulvany, Dermot Browne, Eadaoin Glynn, Sachiko Kobayase, Aaron Moroney, Aoife Nolan, Seiko Hayase and Amna Walayat.
This show stays on the wall until Sat 24th Oct, but stay tuned for new and exciting art projects in the coming months.
