There haven't been many electric guitar, foot drum, and accordion duos before; now there are The Moontwins. The band is formed by PK Keränen, the singer and guitarist of the band 22 Pistepirkko, and accordionist-folk musician Leija Lautamaja.
The Moontwins is positioned in the continuum of global indie/alternative and folk rock traditions on an unprecedentedly broad scale because, in terms of its sound, lineup and song material, the band can perform anywhere from small punk clubs to large rock, pop and folk festival stages. PK Keränen's characteristic singing and guitar playing style combined with Leija Lautamaja’s magical and melancholic accordion and backing vocals create an entirely new sound climate unparalleled in its versatility and grip.
