Hailing from Cork, Mechner is an act drenched in melancholic melody and introspective lyrics, often clawing at the darker sides of the human experience, though not without a romantic edge. some would describe the sounds as cinematic. Mechner has an impressive mix of a huge voice which sits atop guitars that range from Pixies loud to The Smiths jangle. Listen for sounds like Jeff Buckley and Radiohead, while looking at acts closer to home like Whipping Boy and Rory Gallagher.
Joined on the night by 3 acts who are no strangers to the stage; The Slugs, Stardog and Go Like This and admission is free.
