In the past year, Maicín have been cementing themselves as one of Corks most exciting new acts, bringing their dynamic energy to stages across Ireland
The band has been gradually writing and recording with acclaimed producer Oli Deakin (CMAT, Elanor Moss, Swimming Bell), shaping a distinctive sonic identity. To date, they’ve released four singles—‘Find Somebody New’, ‘One Channel Television’, ‘It Is What It Is’ and most notably ‘Che Guevara’, which has amassed over 10,000 streams on Spotify.
They earned national recognition by winning both the UCC Battle of the Bands and the Intervarsity Battle of the Bands, and now they make a return to Cyprus Avenue for their first headline show at the venue on Friday 5th September 2025. Their biggest gig yet will mark the release of their latest single and a fan favourite track, ‘First Time Buyers’.
