Born in Araraquara, in the highlands of central São Paulo state, the singer and songwriter Liniker Barros has been dazzled by arts since she was a child. While growing up, she used to see her mother and uncle perform in samba-rock rodas (musical gatherings in a circle). These experiences set the seed that would thrive later on. Liniker went to Drama School at Escola Livre de Teatro in Santo André, a place where she was able to unveil many of her artistic layers. In 2015, she became a well-known artist both in national and international levels thanks to the success of her online EP Cru, released under the nickname Liniker and the Caramelows. Since then, she started to go on tours around the country and across the world, releasing the albums Remonta in 2016 and Goela Abaixo in 2019 – nominated for a Latin Grammy.
