Klubbheads are a Dutch dance act and production team who had major success in the late 1990s and early 2000s, creating over 25 international hits. Their breakthrough came with “Klubbhopping” (1996), a global club anthem that reached the UK Top 10. Follow-up tracks like “Discohopping” and “Kickin’ Hard” also became big hits.
They are known for their signature “bamboo” (or “donk”) bass sound, which became highly influential in dance music. Beyond Klubbheads, they produced and released music under many aliases (e.g., Drunkenmunky, Hi_Tack, DJ BoozyWoozy), scoring additional hits like “E” and “Say Say Say (Waiting 4 U)”.
They also produced tracks for other artists, including several Dutch Top 10 hits for Paul Elstak, and remixed over 100 artists such as 2 Unlimited, Scooter, and Salt-N-Pepa.
Klubbheads toured globally and played major festivals, remaining active in the scene. Since 2010, they’ve benefited from the revival of 90s/00s dance music, continuing to perform internationally.
