An evening of curious listening to explore the site specific performative installation through both a 14.1 multichannel system and live sound production. JODOT uses sound to reflect on the relationship between counterculture, heterotopia, interconnectedness, data, and maintenance labour.
Composing is a two part process. Firstly the sourcing of sounds through critical listening to produce sonic material. The audio output consists of field recordings, computer-aided syntheses, instrumental and object exploration, and samples. The second part of the process considers the space and how the material will fit best as the speakers play as an interdependent body of sound(s).
