Surrounded by flowers, herbs, fruit and seasonal kitchen garden produce, this hands-on experience takes guests through the pollinator-rich garden and into the apiary to observe how bees make honey, from flower to jar.
Suit up and step inside a working apiary with beekeeper Hanna Bäckmo, open a beehive and get a close-up look at a living honey bee colony.
The experience also includes a guided tasting of seasonal Irish honeys, refreshments and plenty of time to ask questions about bees, beekeeping and the important relationship between pollinators, gardens and our food.
Gain an insight into a slower, more connected way of living while learning about bees, pollination and honey production as part of everyday life in a working cottage garden.
