Féile na Laoch (The Festival of Heroes) is a once every seven year festival celebrating our cultural heroes. Inspired by the life and work of one of Ireland's true cultural giants, Seán Ó Riada, the festival has a wide range of events, all of which are free of charge to the public. The main event, An Aeríocht, is a multifaceted overnight open air concert, that runs from dusk to dawn, and includes performances from seven Heroes from the following disciplines: storyteller, poets, actors, dancers, singers, musicians, visual artists and sporting heroes.
