Irish singer?songwriter Fiona Kennedy will launch her new album Natural Woman on Friday 2nd October with a special concert upstairs at The Merchant, Cork City, beginning at 8.30pm. Tickets are €20 on the door, and each ticket includes a free copy of the CD.
Natural Woman is the official soundtrack album of Fiona’s acclaimed theatre show of the same name — a powerful, multi?layered production celebrating ordinary women who have achieved the extraordinary. The show blends original songs, spoken?word readings, and evocative visual imagery, and has already resonated strongly with audiences across Cork.
The new album brings together all of the original songs Fiona wrote for the production, capturing the emotional depth, storytelling, and musical craft that have become her hallmark. The project highlights women whose courage and resilience have shaped Irish life, including figures such as Vicky Phelan, Mary Elmes, and iconic female musicians who influenced Fiona’s own artistic journey.
