Dublin born, Bristol based songwriter Elly Hopkins performs intimate, stripped-back sets that place the song front and centre. Drawing on folk, alt-country and blues influences, her music pairs sharp, emotionally direct writing with a distinctive vocal presence.
Her debut EP Animal (2025) has been widely praised for its honesty and grit: BBC Introducing noted her “powerful vocals and poignant storytelling,” while Clout described the record as “packed full of gritty rawness and authenticity… a breath of fresh air.” Americana UK concluded simply: “the future for Elly Hopkins is very bright indeed.”
