An Irish rap vagabond Danny Diatribe from Derry City, based in Manchester UK who has collaborated with some of the biggest and best names in UK and Irish Hip-Hop including Black Josh Ape and Pro P. Danny supported House of Pain on their UK tour couple of years back.
His most recent venture, Very Clear, is a collaboration with Amsterdam based Dublin rapper/producer Kynz-Illa of GRIM PICKINZ-TSS. In 2018, he released Tales From the Down and Outs, an album loosely based on Joyce’s most famous novel Dubliners.

Spekulativ Fiktion’s award winning Effigies ep, produced by Mankyy, was released in 2018 (via Unscene Music), a year which saw multiple headline shows in Ireland and the UK as well as unrelenting festival stop offs including Body&Soul, INDIEPENDENCE Music & Arts Festival, It Takes A Village, Vantastival, Townlands Carnival, Cork Midsummer Festival and more.
In 2019 Spek has warmed up for Wu-Tang Clan legend GZA, performed at Quarter Block Party and First Fortnight on top of touring once again with shows in Derry, Galway, Limerick and Cork. This year he has features on the Illa X Diatribe ep, Very Clear, as well as the upcoming Clerk 5 Popstarr album. Spek was listed in Nialler9's '19 Irish rappers & producers you should know in 2019' and The Irish Times 'Great Acts to Love in 2019'. He is also featured in the official Spotify playlist, 'The New Eire.' A number of collaborative singles will see release after the summer.
Spek’s work has been discussed in the books, 'Flip the Script: European Hip Hop and the Politics of Postcoloniality' (University of Chicago Press) and the upcoming 'Made In Ireland' (Routledge). He is also shown in the documentary 'The Truth About Irish Hip Hop'.
