Cork Songwriter Night is a monthly showcase of up-and-coming Cork talent, brought to you by the team behind Fair Play Open Mic. We aim to give a platform to lesser known local musicians, and give audiences the chance to hear new music as it is being written.
Our first event on the 11th of November will feature two of the most prolific and musically adept songwriters who’ve come across our local stages; Aengus Mac a' Bháird and Kimaya Joy. Both are multi-instrumentalists and have a range of incredibly catchy songs, brimming with wit and sincerity. You will walk away from this concert with their music indelibly glued to your brain.
Aengus has been a lifelong contributor to the Irish music scene, debuting with Atlantis Fire Department and going on to perform with the likes of Mark Geary, M’Adam, Sam Clague, Stephen Springall, Pauline Scanlon, Moxie and many more.
