Cork Folk Festival

Cork City

Thu 02 Oct 2025 - Sun 05 Oct 2025 (note: this event has already taken place)

Four days of music, song and dance in Ireland’s southern capital, Cork. This year Mary Black is heading up our festival, she is featured along with some of Ireland’s and Cork’s finest traditional talents. We have put the festival together with the help of the Cork City Council Arts Committee, The Arts Council, Failte Ireland and MTU Cork. The programme includes over 150 musicians from all parts of Ireland and a few from abroad performing in 20 venues around the city.

Our festival this year features 50 plus events hosted at theatres, art centres and pubs scattered across the city, shining the spotlight on local styles of fiddle, concertina, accordion, flute and song. In this 43rd edition of the festival we also offer workshops, films, open-air events and storytelling sessions for children, providing deeper insights into the Irish folk tradition and ensuring the whole family are well-catered for.
