Working Artist Studios (WAS), Ballydehob, invites the public to a very special celebration on Saturday 30th August, marking the close of the current Members’ Exhibition with a day of storytelling, art, and community gathering to mark the end of the harvest season.
The event will feature:
- Storytelling with Paul Ó Colmáin: weaving tales to mark the season of Lughnasa.
- A meet-the-artists open house: visitors can chat with the creators behind the Members’ Exhibition.
- An exhibition of printing techniques.
- The launch of an extraordinary art raffle: one lucky winner will take home a Dubhaltach Ó Colmáin original metal sculpture valued at €5,000.
This marks the first opportunity to purchase raffle tickets, which will be available on the day and online afterwards for a limited period.
“We wanted to close the Members’ Exhibition with something really special,” says Paul Ó Colmáin, WAS co-director. “Lughnasa is a festival of harvest and gathering, a time for community. By combining storytelling, art, and the raffle launch, we’re bringing people together to celebrate creativity and give someone the chance to own a truly exceptional piece of work by Dubhaltach
