Breanndán Begley a genial giant from the Dingle peninsula in County Kerry, he is a well-known and accomplished performer of Irish traditional music on the button accordion, touring at home and in Estonia, Finland, Sweden and France. He has been a member of the 'Boys of the Lough', first touring with the band as a guest in the 1980's in the USA. Brendan's exciting dance music, sensitive emotional playing of slow airs on accordion, and his singing in his native Irish make him a great favourite. In 2024 Breanndán published his autobiography, Of My People.
Cáit Ní Riain is a traditional Irish folk singer and multi-instrumentalist. Her main musical love and influence is traditional Irish song. She is a piano accompanist to traditional Irish dance music, with a deep interest in exploring the harmonic and rhythmic possibilities of accompaniment, without compromising the beauty and sovereignty of the dance tunes. She plays piano and sings in ‘The Weaving’, alongside accordionist and singer, Méabh Begley and Leeds’ fiddler, Owen Spafford.
