The Blackwater Valley Makers have become a treasured part of Fermoy’s community, bringing arts and crafts to life in the centre of a town hungry for creativity and artistic expression. Home to artists of many persuasions, the group have survived the rigours of repeated lockdowns and have remained steadfast in their goals to remain together and to recruit new members.

As they emerge from a time of uncertainty and the sorrow of the departure from the former Ulster Bank premises in Pearse Square, Fermoy, the group are delighted to report the reopening of their gallery. With the support of Avondhu Blackwater Partnership, the arts group are happy to announce that their work will be on display and for sale in The Old Mill, Connaberry, Castletownroache for the summer months of June, July and August. The exhibition will represent the very best of the artists’ work and each member will continue to welcome conversation, enquiries and commissions.

After a long winter and a slow springtime, the artists revel in the anticipation of reconnecting with their audience.
