Barry McCormack & Ronan's Feats Of Strength
Barry McCormack has released seven critically acclaimed albums since leaving Dublin band Jubilee Allstars and is set to release his eight, 'Painting Devils', in September 2024. The Irish Times has called him ‘criminally underrated’, a musician ‘before his time’ and ‘one of Ireland’s best songwriters’.
His seventh and most recent album, Mean Time, released in 2019, was described by The Irish Times as ‘a brilliant, slightly apocalyptic collection of songs about an era of fake news, information overload and conspiratorial thinking’ and RTE.ie called it ‘scarily prescient’.
Ronan Feats Of Strength, an original songs project by Ronan Leonard (a long standing Barry McCormack fan), will be opening on the night. He will be playing 5 or 6 songs from his forthcoming 'Mad For Dadness' album as well as a few songs that potentially could have been hits if he'd pushed himself to an unhealthy limit in the music industry over the last 20+ years, let the audience decide.
