Former Jubilee Allstar Barry McCormack released his debut singer-songwriter solo album We Drank Our Tears in May 2003, to much critical acclaim. An album of songs inspired by the Irish folk tradition- utilising only guitar, voice and harmonica- Hot Press called it “the finest acoustic album of 2003…timeless and placeless “ The Jubilees “Lights of the City” album, released in 2000, was described as 'an absolute revelation' by The Guardian, who described them as 'diarists for a Dublin they both despair of and love'. Barry left the band after the release of Lights to pursue a solo career.
