Ballincollig Winter Music Festival

Ballincollig

Wed 21 Jan 2026 - Mon 02 Feb 2026 (note: this event has already taken place)

Now in its 16th edition, the Ballincollig Winter Music Festival 2026 marks a major milestone as it runs for a full week for the first time ever, from late January into early February, featuring its largest and most diverse line-up since the festival began in 2010.

Founded by Joe Carey of The White Horse, the festival expands beyond music to include comedy, storytelling, visual art, workshops and readings, creating a rich, village-wide celebration of creativity in winter.

Highlights across the week include a pop-up restaurant experience with Tiger Balm Club, a sold-out comedy night with Chris Kent, free Oíche Scoraíochta storytelling sessions, an artist-in-residence mural by David Shillinglaw with local student engagement, intimate literary events like Notes from the Margins, and standout live performances from Niamh Regan, Scullion with special guest Inni-K, and a sold-out headline show by Lisa Hannigan.

Supported by the Arts Council, the festival continues to grow as a unique, community-rooted celebration of music, ideas and shared cultural experience in the heart of Ballincollig
