Join us on the Coachford Greenway for the 44th FIPSed World Championship Coarse Fishing for Clubs, organised by the National Coarse Fishing Federation of Ireland. The competition will showcase the skills of top club anglers engaging in coarse angling— targeting species such as bream, roach, and perch. Inniscarra Lake, renowned for its abundant fish populations and scenic surroundings, provides an ideal setting for this international championship.
The event welcomes elite club teams from over 20 countries to compete along the Greenway, a national walking route known for its rich flora, fauna, and stunning views of the lake. Spectators are warmly invited to watch the teams in action throughout the week, with official training taking place on the Greenway from Monday 21st July for five days leading up to the weekend competition.
The vibrant Parade of Nations also takes place on Monday 21st July from 5.30pm, as local schoolchildren lead the teams through Coachford village, accompanied by the rousing sounds of the Blarney Brass and Pipe Band. Free face painting and balloon making for children will be available
