We're delighted to announce that the winner of the best dressed shop window in our Get Your Flags Out For the Lads competition is Zerep shoe store on Patrick Street. Manager Natasha and the girls put in a superb stylish effort and were one of the quickest off the mark when we called on city businesses to get their act together in support of the Cork teams dominating this year's All Ireland finals. Staff at the shop will be invited to a night out at the hospitality suite at Beamish and Crawford as a reward for their sterling efforts.

Healy, Cork Business Association and Brendan Coughlan of Beamish &
Crawford present Zerep store manager Natasha O'Sullivan with the prize
this morning. Also included are staff members Michelle and Elizabeth. |
Out of the 83 store
fronts on Patrick Street (including Daunt Square) 63 had shows of support for
Cork on display in the run up to both the men's and ladies All Ireland football
finals. Special mentions must also go to the efforts of Japan, Debenhams,
Gentleman's Quarters, Phelans Pharmacy and Burger King. Kudos are
also due to the girls at The Bag Shop who despite being a bit late off the mark
put out a fine display of blood and bandage which included messages of support
as gaeilige. Fair play to Martin Grace at Adshel for letting us decorate
Pana's nine bus shelters. Last but certainly not least we'd like to thank Cork
City Council for agreeing to cover the cost of the flags and bunting that
  we distributed.

sooner had the call gone out the week before the match to support the
Cork teams Zerep were on the case. |
We will be putting
an action plan together for next year's inevitable list of Cork dominated All
Ireland finals to ensure that city centre businesses support those who dedicate
so much of their free time to Cork and it's perpetual sporting success.
