When you're two goals and three to no score ahead with twenty odd minutes gone in a game it's hard to see a reason to keep the pace up. At the end of yesterday's one sided All-Ireland

Niblock, Masters and Cussen with two flahs advertising something in a can. You know yourself.

quarter final football championship match officials still weren't sure if any Kildare fans had actually been in the stadium.

Fond of their horseracing and adopting strong Dublin accents Kildare fans seemed to have no interest in the single-code county's biggest hope for 2008. Ciaran McGeady can provide them with some hope however, they're a young team and with a bit of know-how from the Ulsterman might pose some threat to the Dubs dominance in their province in '09.

The undisputed man-of-the-match award went to Cork corner forward John Hayes who's sublime skill through out the game guaranteed him the accolade with wing back Anthony Lynch coming a close second. Hayes's goal was a stunner - without doubt the most spectacular of the Championship to date and his footwork on the end line in front of Hill 16 near the end was truly mesmerising.

Kerry sidestepped the Galwegian challenge on Saturday setting up football's equivalent of groundhog day and a repeat of the Munster final clash which saw Cork brush aside the reigning all Ireland Champions.

Here's to another day in Croke Park surrounded by roaring Rebels.
