Keane's Ice Bucket Raised Body Temperature

Infrared tests have shown that Roy Keane’s body temperature actually increased as a result of his ice bucket challenge. The Cork man was nominated by Patrick Viera and took the challenge at Aston Villa’s training ground where he is currently the assistant manager.

While the body temperature of regular humans hovers at around 37 degrees Celsius it has been suspected for years that Keane operates at a significantly lower one.

Keane can melt icebergs with his stare

The icy stare perfected by the Boy during his career at British clubs Manchester United and Celtic require a cooler core and provide further evidence that Keane may be operating below freezing.

A video of his recent ice bucket challenge was assessed by scientists at University College Cork who have concluded that Keane’s body temperature is close to the freezing point of water.

“Our suspicions were raised by the completely calm manner in which Roy reacts to his ice bucket challenge. As he walks away from his soaking in, what we know was very cold water, we can see a significant increase in his body temperature using infrared technology which is very unusual.”

It has reaffirmed Keane’s status in Cork as the coolest sportsman of all time.
