Definetly would agree with the dropping of age. Any 16 year old i know would know plenty of what's going on. They should be allowed to vote.

What about the 16 year olds you don't know and who have difficulty even knowing what day of the week it is and are so uneducated that they wouldn't understand what the letter "X" was for or even looks like on a voting form?

I have always been of the opinion that before certain individuals are allowed to procreate, they should pass an IQ test.

This wouldn't work. There are some academics and intelligent people out there who still lack basic common sense and/or compassion.

No point being really book smart and raising a child when you don't know how to deal with a delicate emotional situation.

Happens a lot among the peasant and working class. For instance in a vote to raise the price of sausage suppers..

"Should the price of sausage suppers go up"?
*Put tick in the "yes" or "no" box*

What happens then is the hungry voter puts an "X" in the "no" box and thus voids his or her vote. The middle class voter would have put the tick in the "yes" box and so sausage suppers go up.
