Ha. On the Last Word there, Matt Cooper did his utmost to get Ken Loach to buy into the D4/Official Ireland self-loathing bullshit, but Loach stuck to his socialist guns all the way through, giving no quarter to eejits of any stripe. Fair play to him. I'm happy to pay the money to see it purely on the basis of the fact that the director (and the screenwriter, too) obviously has what I would regard as a decent attitude towards the whole thing, as he generally seems to have had towards all the subject matters he has treated through the years.
 
saw it last night. good action scences but no development of characters. a tad maudlin and boring at times.
