I got cosmetic dentistry on the NHS, very nice job. Nothing very wrong with my teeth to begin with, was just pure vanity. Wouldn't mind a different nose but the one I have suits my face overall.
As for the psychological problems angle, I think that cosmetic enhancements can make some people very happy.
