All Ireland u21 Football Final - Cork V Laois

4 munsters in a row, and now in their second All Ireland final in a row, Cork go looking for their first title at this grade since 94 tomorrow.
Throw in 7pm, Thurles.

Cork and Laois have developed a keen rivalry at underage with these particular sets of players. 3 years ago Laois beat Cork after a replay in the All Ireland minor 1/4 final, both of which were excellent games of football. Hopefully the young rebels will do us proud, they had a tough semi final v Armagh which should stand to them aswell.

They kinda let Armagh back into that game so maybe thats a worry but Goulding seems to be scoring a lot at the various levels he's playing at so hopefully he can continue that form.

I posted about it last night after the game was over (http://www.peoplesrepublicofcork.com/~peoplesr/forums/showthread.php?t=104514) but nobody replied as they were so busy bullshitting on about Sunderland and Man United they didn't even notice that a team wearing the red of Cork, OUR county, won an All-Ireland title.

what a result! 3 points down with time nearly up. A very good game, Laois will rue the wides they had, sides were level 8 times in total. Gouldings goal before half time was excellent.
Delighted for the team and all involved with them, thought they never reached their potential as minors at the time, but Tony Leahy has done a tremendous job with them and over the past 4 years, and saturday was just reward!
Credit to Laois too, played their part and could have won it aswell.

Don't know what you mean there, I don't think they have anything to complain about, the ref was fair to both sides in my opinion.

can't say i'd agree MON. they had alot of wides yes but they were getting very soft frees, Donie brennan in particular has mastered the art of falling over at the slightest touch. The game itself was a very even affair, level 8 times over the hour. When they went 3 points up it looked like it was going their way but then Cork got the goal and it was anyones to win after that.
