The official festival of us, MURPHY'S presents CORK X SOUTHWEST is back for its fourth outing on Saturday July 31st, in the gorgeous West Cork town of Skibbereen. Following last year's HUGE SELL-OUT success, The Showgrounds will be play host to Ireland's best one-day music and arts festival, with an assorted offering of local and international musicians, bands, DJs, art, drama, comedy, fringe events, the finest of West Cork food and cool, creamy pints of MURPHY'S.

Ireland's best eclectic music and arts festival, Murphy's presents Cork X Southwest, returns for a another helping of West Cork summer fun. Saturday July 31st sees Skibbereen kick the bank holiday weekend into full swing with the very best of international live music from the indie folk queen Martha Wainwright, making her only Irish appearance this year in West Cork, alt country legend Bonnie 'Prince' Billy and The Cairo Gang, joining them will be a host of musical talent including The Hothouse Flowers, The Frank and Walters, John Spillane, Mick Flannery to name a few..



Not only will great music fill the air but there will be performances from comedy, rock act Dead Cat Bounce and local interactive performance groups Suckkit &C. With lots more to entertain the crowds!

Cork X Southwest is delighted to welcome a fourth tent this year, The Realt Dearg Tent, which will be hosting the very best of dance music including Irish super-star DJ John Daly and Edinburgh's best loved house DJ Craig Smith along with a selection of Cork's finest DJ's. The Showgrounds will also feature three more fully weatherproof stages including The Blue Tent, The Little Big Tent and The De Barras Sitting Room.


This year's Cork X Southwest continues its partnership with Murphy's, the official pint of us! Limited tickets for MURPHY'S presents Cork X Southwest are on sale now and costing €55 including booking fee and are available from www.tickets.ie and a number of outlets in Cork.


Camping is also available on-site and there are plenty of hotels, B&B's, guesthouses, apartments and houses to rent, to suit all tastes and budgets, in and around Skibbereen.
