The
People's Gallery 5
Its Cork's Bushido Kickboxing club who appeared on the telly recently decked out
in full Republican dress. Irish and World Champion Colin Shaughnessy from
Douglas who teaches at a Bushido kickboxing school in Donnybrook sent us this
photo. Its reassuring to know that some of the world's most highly trained fighters
are pledging their allegience to the People's Republic of Cork. Colin claimed
top spot at last year's World Championships on the Greek Island of Rhodes.
If you're interested in finding out about how you can turn your half baked and
boozed up corpse into an ultra-fit fighting machine email colinos@indigo.ie

Next its Mick The Rave Cave who may have sold you some fashionable and
hip clothing from his boutique in the English Market in the past (including PRC
merchandise). Here he is being welcomed by country who nicked the idea of a People's
Republic off us a few years back. With the softening of the Chinese regime Mick
is hoping to expand The Rave Cave in the form of two new outlets: one on the Great
Wall of China (the only man made object visible from Knocknaheeny) and another
in the middle of Tiananmen Square which was modelled on Cork's Rory Gallgher Place.
Finally poor unsuspecting German Jan Kruger innocently stepped off the train at
Hueston Station, Dublin and wondered why he got chased over 26 miles by jackeens
around the city. His ordeal lasted over 3 and a half hours and he swore to never
visit Dublin again. All because he wore a People's Republic of Cork t-shirt it
seems!
