While they've been replaced by Daft Dave of Right Price Tiles as the most in-your-face radio advertiser on our airwaves, good old beer swillin' barbie shrimpin' Alf Stewart strewthin' Aussie retail brand Harvey Norman have made a major cultural error.

Comrade Ray O'Donoghue of the Sydney Division of the 4th PROC Australian Brigade this morning reported an offensive slight against Cork on the Harvey Norman website which could spark protests big enough to put the backlash to those infamous Danish Cartoons in the shade.

The Peoples Republic may now descend into an orgy of looting, murder, arson and the widespread taking of half days, as Harvey Norman incorrectly assumed Cork was a SUBURB of Dublin on their otherwise prestigious company profile. The address of their Cork store is listed as Harvey Norman, Kinsale Road, Cork, Dublin.

Such a blatant cultural faux-pas, the type normally left to ignorant over-weight Leprechaun seeking Americans, could have drastic consequences for the thriving Australian franchise.

The number of Corkonians among the "Irish" population in Australia is now estimated at over three million(ish) and these sons and daughters of the PROC have the potential to rise up and rebel against the (pro-Commonwealth) government if this massive gaffe is not rectified immediately and a full and comprehensive apology is not forthcoming.
