Unlike in the U.S. and Canada asking people out on a date is a non-runner in Cork unless its ten minutes after last-call in a pub. Unlike the yanks we're a cynical bunch and while we might be extremely comfortable and proud of our Corkonian nationality we lack inter-personal self confidence especially with Corkonians of the opposite sex.
