Students from Shanghai make up the biggest portion of Chinese students at UCC - like these beours who manage UCC's Chinese website. The university is the only one in Ireland to have a dedicated Chinese website. Shanghai is twinned with Cork and also dubbed a "second city" by its capital Bejing.

Chris Virtue from Austrlia sent us these pics. He picked up a PRC t-shirt whilst visiting Leeside and was so taken by the Rebel County that he decided to tour the world spreading the PRoC message to all and sundry. |
|
Chris is the director of a multimedia company in Melbourne Australia and took these pictures for us whilst on holiday in Vietnam: the one above with his friend in Hoi An.
Chris says: "I picked up a couple of your t-shirts when I was then in September 2003. They are much travelled and much loved. I used to think I was only one with one here, but sadly no - I saw someone wearing one at the Queen Victoria Markets in Melbourne at Christmas! And it's true - Cork is much nicer than Dublin."
Dowtcha.

A recent meeting of the People's Republic of Cork Slavic Brigade took place in Prague in the Czech Republic recently under the clever cover of a "stag night". Comrade Iain Mulcahy was the chairman (aka stag) of the meeting which ran for over three days with one agent (Derek in the black leather jacket below) from the USA flying in especially for "the conference".

|
Comrade Wes Packham says "We had a crazy weekend of boozing, shooting guns, brewery tours.... to name but some of the activities! The fathers of the bride and groom were also present and put in a sterling performance all round. Thanks to our guide Michael from www.praguepissup.com ..... legend! Roll on the wedding!"
