Comedy: Keith Farnan

Keith Farnan

A Corkman via his birth in Cobh Keith Farnan has been cast into the wilderness of the pale to make a living for himself. As he says himself "through the medium of stand-up comedy I'm trying to help the people of Dublin understand that even though they're not from Cork, they can still lead full and maybe even fulfilling lives". A controversial statement of course but as Corkonians we should occasionally be open minded enough to believe there are some non-Corkonians out there who might not be as hopeless as we think. Look at Pat Dolan at CCFC for example.

Keith isn't just some langer who used to make the old dolls laugh at discos in the Commodore Hotel he's got quite a few prestigious gigs under his belt. He won the "Battle of the Axe" comedy competition at the Ha'Penny Bridge Inn in the pale. He was a semi finalist on Channel 4's "So You Think You're Funny" at the Edinburgh fringe festival and he was a semi finalist of "Go on...Make us Laugh" on Today FM comedy competition.

"After one of the gigs another cork exile came up to me and said I should drop ye a line in relation to one of the songs I do as she thought it was only mighty and that ye'd appreciate more than most."
