| This is the only artist from Cork who can claim to be part of the infamous Stockholm electronic music scene known as the Swedish Invasion along with such luminaries as Jesper Dahlback, John Dahlback Adam Beyer, Joel Mull.... Mark moved to Sweden in 1994 and started and began collaborating music with various Swedish artists perfecting his skills as an acoustically versed soundscape sculptor.2 longplayers released on his own imprint King Syndrome Sounds under the MIGHTY QUARK name soon atttracted international attention,DJ MAG UK described his work as "bringing dub into the 21st century" and his remix and reworking of Leftfields single "Chant Of A Poorman" has long been hailed as an essential electronic dub track. Mark went on to collaborate with Susuma Yokota ,Digi Dub,Andy Bell(Oasis,Ride) on labels such as Play, Brique Rouge, Guidance and of course Trevor Jackson’s Output,home of his ultra hot DK7 project that Mark has with long time collaborater Jesper Dahlback. DK7 so far have spawned 3 top 20 UK Dance singles chart hits and an Internationally acclaimed album "DISARMED".In mid 2005 Mark set up ORK RECORDINGS with deep house legends Fish Go deep and despite being on tour for most of 2006 found time to collaborate with John Dahlback under the name MARK AND JOHN and released some of the years most crucial dancefloor tracks on Pickadoll ,Morris Audio and Steve Bugs Audiomatique label. Mid 2006 Mark set up JM RECORDINGS with John Dahlback, the label quickly finding favour with such people as Tiga,Mr C,David Duriez,Abe Duque(Gigglo)................ 2007 has started very brightly ,a blistering remix of Mike Mondays "What day is it " on Brique Rouge has proved to be a massive tech /house hit and big favourites of BBC 1 dj Fergie,Youseff,Nico De Ceglia plus his own releases on Plastic City, JM RECORDINGS, ORK RECORDINGS and Harthouse are wining worlwide plaudits . In May (2007) Mark and Jesper Dahlback set up DK7 recordings.A label that will release specially selected remixes of DK7 tracks plus some exclusive tracks produced by Mark and Jesper.Already Slam,Phil Kieran,Zoo Brazil,Lopazz,Steve Rachmad,Joel Mull and Tommy Four Seven have delivered their take on DK7 tracks for the label. DK7 have recently signed to UK label Process who are part of the well known Indie stable MRC.The new album will be out in March 2008. However 2 singles will preceed its release.
