Ipswich Town V Derby County

12.15pm

Live on Sky Sports

Huge game this morning. Ipswich could go top until later this evening with a win and also push five points ahead of third placed Derby. A draw would not be the end of the world but always looking to win at home.

Great to see George Burley in the studio. Looking forward to his analysis.

A real football man.

Unhappy

Ipswich 0

Derby 1

The long run was bound to come to an end at some stage, but you would hope it would not be against the team nearest you in the league.

Ipswich started well, and had one or two chances in the first 15 mins. Derby were on top from then until late in the second half. I don't think they ever created much though, but they did dominate midfield and possession for large parts of the game. It did not help, when one of our main players in the centre, Cole Skuse, pulled out just before the game due to illness. A huge loss which led to Hughes running the game for Derby.

When it was at 0-0 Ipswich were denied a clear penalty after a handball by Keogh. It was a game changer. Ref was not exactly doing Town many favours anyway, with nearly every 50/50 chance going to Derby.

Anyway the lads have been brilliant and hopefully a few will get a break for the week and let the fringe players play against Southampton in the FA Cup Weds night.

Keep it going Mick. It's been a great season so far.

FA Cup replay tonight.

7.55pm KO

Portman Road

Live on BBC 1.

Ipswich Town v Southampton.

Town are missing at least three players through an illness that has swept through the club. I think one or two of them would have been rested anyway. I have no doubt up to six/seven first team players will be rested. Hopefully Southampton will do the same.

Good piece here on Mick McCarthy and how he feels he is going at the moment. Interesting piece on the lack of offers he got while out of work and also talks about his current squad.

The team Ipswich fielded against Derby last Saturday.

Ipswich's starting XI against Derby:

Bartosz Bialkowski (free from Notts County), Luke Chambers (free from Nott'm Forest), Tommy Smith (academy), Christophe Berra (free from Wolves), Tyrone Mings (£10k from Chippenenham), Luke Hyam (academy), Paul Anderson (joined from Bristol City in swap for (Jay Emmanuel-Thomas), Jay Tabb (free from Reading), Teddy Bishop (academy), Daryl Murphy (free from Celtic), David McGoldrick (free from Nott'm Forest)

Millwall v Ipswich

Big game today after a league a cup defeat in the last week. Hopefully Ipswich can take the three points and get back on track. New signing Freddie Sears is in the squad but it looks like Teddy Bishop i still out with the flu after missing the Southampton game also.

New signing http://www.twtd.co.uk/ipswich-town-n...itch-confirmed

Fingers crossed to end this poor run.

millwall on a terrible run themselves - lost the last 6 in the league is it? and got battered in the cup replay against lower level opposition. holloway must be nearing the end of his tenure.

apparently newcastle had a cheeky 4m bid for mings turned down (unsurprisingly).

Millwall are on a brutal run. Surprised tbh. They have made seven changes today.

I heard about that Mings bid. Originated from The Sun. I would be shocked if it was not bull. If Town go on to sell him it will be at least double that. I think he is worth up to £15m already. He made Clyne look like a little boy the other night.
