Where would I go if I wanna buy 5 or six tablets in a bundle ?

Not looking for top tech , just thinking about the kids for Christmas so something reasonably durable and cheap enough that I won't cry in my soup if one gets stepped on ...

( Harvey Norman are doing HP Slate 7's on a deal at the moment , but I hear they aren't really any good )

The Hudl looks like the sort of thing you're looking for.

Not available in IE

Also looks a little on the flimsy side ...

This looks like a candidate

Funny enough I can't find any online place with discounts for Multiple units ...

I reckon I could haggle at Harvey Normans though for 6 units ....

Definitely check out Harvey Norman. Any employee would be happy to haggle with you if you're going to knock 5 or 6 tablets off their monthly target I'd assume.

I wouldn't know a huge amount about tablets but the Google Nexus 7" is 249 in HN atm. How much would you want to spend per unit? (pre-haggling we'll say!)

250 a unit is too much in reality . 100 - 160 is a bit more likely .

I had a sneaky look last night at a Kindle Fire HDX
Not bad , ( a little limited in certain ways but a very snappy machine from what I could see )
Sound and screen were quite nice .
I only got a quick sconce at it though ...

You obviously have limited experience of children .

You'd be bludgeoned to death with your chunk of wood . It's their world

We just live in it .

Most of the ones I've held would do no more damage than a plastic golf club .

Certainly not as much damage as a hurley or tennis racquet

The corners might be dodgy though , if thrown like a ninja star ....
