Default HTC Desire or Desire HD

I've given in and decided to go smart phone as I'm sick of having no access whatsoever on our company network to things like mail, radio, you tube etc.

I've ordered the Desire HD but on second thoughts - it's fawking huge.

Seems I've got a shitty old SE at the moment and it's my first smart phone then is the size something I'll get used to do you think? I mean is it just 'first time smart phone' jitters?

Anyone got one and have experience? Is it something you can put in your pocket? Is it comfortable to talk on?

Yeah, it's not that big. Slips into your pocket pretty easily..

i have the older version of this but they look to be about the same size. its not big or awkward at all. its a smashing phone. so i can only imagine the newer version is even better. they're really simple, user friendly phones. i'm due an upgrade now and im pretty tempted to get this one.

What battery thing?
It's an incredible phone, light years ahead of the iphone, maybe a bit technical for the majority of iPhone users, there's more than one way of doing most things..

The HD is rather bigger than the normal Desire.

Lots of complaints about poor battery life but if you use a smart
phone then expect to charge it every night.

I know its light years ahead of the fisherprice iPhone. Sure they only got copy and paste last week

Hehehe...
Yeah, battery life isn't going to be great but it's better than the iphone and in a different league to the Palm Pre.

No bother getting a full day out of it....

The screen on the desire is like 3.7 and 4.3 on the hd. HD is by far a better phone though.

the htc hd7 looks nice aswell but i think the screen is about the same size as the hd.

Yeah no contest.. HD all the way. Really looked into the HTC evo last year but because its CDMA it never made it to europe. This looks like its replacement.. more or less the same specs. Think there is very little i the iPhone 4 and that, yeah it has a bigger display bit the iphones retina display is sharper than the HTC. I haven't seen a photo on the HTC yet but i would find it hard to believe that the quality is better than the iphone 4.. Must of a muchness really, just down to personal taste. Think i might get it when im due an upgrade, just in case something happens to my iphone. Get 2 days easily once you turn on location services etc on a need be basis..
