The Irish Times* will be among top international newspapers to feature on Amazon.com's new electronic book reader that is to go on sale from the end of the month.

Everyone knows you need an electronic book reader to read electronic books. Otherwise it's just not possible to do.

The Cybook Gen 3 looks much better. Not sure about all this eBook reader craic yet though.

Interestingly theres been more 1 star ratings on Amazons own site than anything else. Most common complaint seems to be the lack of an ability to load on your own files, you can only put on content from Amazon and a select few other sites. It cant even display a pdf. And people are worried that if Amazon discontinue its e-book format that it currently uses then they would lose all their bought books due to the DRM installed (much like what happened to users who bought videos from Google video...)

Not convinced at all yet, I'll stick to good old fashioned paper books and keep the $400 methinks...
