A bit surly and taciturn. Typical Serb I suppose!

Hate to say I told you that years ago

One thing to keep in mind about Djoko is that he’s won these GS in the era of Nadal and Fed

These 2 started winning GS when the best players around were Roddick & Lleyton Hewitt

Looking at an interesting table on wiki, showing the time spans holding the #1 ranking (between 1st and last dates #1 ranking was held)

Fed tops the list, unsurprisingly, with 14 and a half years (Feb 2004-June 201, Nadal 2nd with 10 years (2008-201 followed by Djoko, Agassi, Connors with 8 years

Last time Fed was #1 he was 36, Nadal was 32, Djoko just turned 32...not sure Nadal will ever manage to get back to #1 but can see Novak doing it for another few years

Roddick, Philippoussis and Cilic account for 5 of Federer's 8 Wimbledon titles. Once Djokovic arrived on the scene, the titles started to dry up.

Novak is now 5-0 v Federer, 5-0 v Murray and 3-0 v Nadal in Grand Slam ties since 2014. That is a fairly emphatic clue as to who the real GOAT is. The Fed fans will be hoping injury can rob Djokovic's surge to 20+ Slam titles.

And all I said back was a lot could go wrong like injuries or a young up and coming player overtaking the lot of them.

This time last year before Wimbledon jock looked finished. I also wouldn’t completely rule fed out of winning one or two more.

One ace today is the difference between 21 15 and 20 16.

Fine margins.

They’ll be hoping for no such thing.

Nice arbitrary time line too.

And we’ll just discount the finals against murray, warrinka and del Porto

Ffs.

Yeah. Since Fed was in his mid to late 30s jock beat him a lot.

They should. It is the only way Djokovic will not overtake Fed.

You can pick any timeline you want. Novak has a better head to head against Federer and Nadal.

And now 3-0 to Novak in Wimbledon Finals.
