That drives me mad, when Irish folk go abroad and expect everyone to understand their Irish-isms.

Like people who go abroad and ask for a "Ballygowan" when they want a water, and "a pack of Tayto" when in reality they don't mind what brand of crisps they get.

When I worked in an Irish bar abroad some eejit Irish one asked for "a chip"

I was like "erm.. Like, one chip?"

She then got annoyed and said that back home in Ballygoshithole a plate of chips was just called "a chip"
