Knocknagree are a serious team, unlucky last year to meet the Barrs at that time. They're my favourites

Knocknagree looked very strong Saturday Mitchelstown dont look patch on the team that lost the final 2 years ago. Seem to play a blanket defence and depend on 2 or 3 forwards. Unusual tactics for a team that seemed to have a lethal forward line only 2 years ago. Still would have won only for 2 bad mistakes

Mark Keane huge loss to Mitchelstown how did Sean Walsh play ? surprised they lost yesterday Cathal O Mahony is a good forward for them.

Aghabullogue have some very good young players coming into their prime so that wouldn’t be a massive shock IMO. They were also in the final last year so have a bit of experience behind them now. Lower Intermediate seems a fairly weak grade. Most teams are junior standard at best. Most of them wouldn’t win their own divisions if put back down!

To be fair there are only a few that wouldn’t win their respective divisions at Junior a level, but that probably says more about the quality of those divisions in a footballing sense more than anything. Mayfield/Barrs would push for Seandún
One of Dromtarriffe, knocknagree, Millstreet, rockchapel would win duhallow
I’d be surprised if glanworth or Mitchelstown couldn’t win avondhu
Likewise Glanmire/Glenville would dominate imokilly and kinsale would be hard to beat in carrigdoun.
Aghabullogue would be competitive in mid cork in what is a very strong junior football division
And carbery is very competitive also so again would be hard pushed for any side to win there.
Hopefully the restructuring that’s planned (2 teams going down this year, 5 teams going down in 2 years time) will get the grade back to where it should be in terms of quality.
